A Recent Case Illustrates Our Ability to Handle Discrimination Cases
Our client was an African-American gentleman who had filed a discrimination complaint with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) against his employer, a major international manufacturer. In response, the employer placed our client on probation. Our client then filed a second complaint with the EEOC because he believed that the probationary measure was taken in retaliation for filing a complaint. In response to the second complaint, our client's employer terminated him.
Our client had a statutory right to file a complaint with the EEOC and to do so without retaliation. We investigated the claim, represented our client in negotiations and obtained a satisfactory outcome that included a sizeable settlement award.
